納豆/なっとう/Natto

I tried natto for the first time yesterday and surprisingly it was good! Usually you hear it's really bad or really good, so I found it to be good! Natto is fermented soybeans which gives it a different taste, texture, and smell. To get a better picture of what natto looks like, check out this video below of me trying it! :3


Apparently natto is traditionally eating over hot rice. (Whoops. My bad!) And one mustn't eat it "raw," a.k.a. by itself without any flavoring. So make sure you top it off with the package of soysauce and mustard that comes with it! (Whew. At least I did something correctly.)
