Exaggerating Politeness

を ("wo" or "o") is a politeness marker.

Example:

(A telephone operator asks for your name.)

なまえをどうぞ
Onamae o doozo
Your honorable name

But without the を, the phrase changes.

なまえをどうぞ
Namae o doozo
Your name

When completing a sentence, です ("desu") is typically used. If one exaggerates this, it makes what is said more polite. There are more words and ways to sound more polite, but these are just two examples that I know so far out of the many.
