This evening I was watching NHK World with my mother and they had a fashion segment about Ginza Fashion Week. They featured this one designer who was very fascinated with synthetic fibers and how he had revolutionized this material by using technology to make the fabric appear more flattering on the wearer. In the pants realm, he changed your typical plaid by adding shadows to the design which gives off facade of longer legs. He also created floral designs in such a way that the gradate from bigger to smaller flowers, from the top to the bottom, which fabricates a more slimming look. This mystery man, whose name I did not catch, was a fashion designer of women's clothing. The outfits that he created looked fabulous, but were also on the pricey side.
